CreActivity Training for Language Teachers

Delivered in half or full day sessions, CreActivity Training uses
improvisational theatre activities to bring out the inherent creativity in language teachers. Results are seen in valuable “thought re-engineering” that helps invigorate one’s approach
to language teaching.

What does improvisation have to do with language teaching and learning? Lots!

Every communicative situation where two or more people are interacting is a kind of improvisation. Some structure may exist but the specifics are constantly being created on the spot. Like improvising actors on a stage, language learners “on the street” do the best they can with the skills they have.

In this seminar it is the teacher-participants who are challenged to think on their feet. By stimulating the “right brain” with fun improvisation exercises, attendees will be inspired to create more spontaneous, imaginative, and risk taking classroom environments of their own.

Post-activity discussions and hand-outs provide guidance on how teachers can use many of the seminar activities in their own classrooms.
